About Us
Our Mission
Guilderhaven Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% volunteer-run organization committed to improving animal welfare across New York State—particularly in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and surrounding counties. We are not a shelter or rescue, but an animal welfare group focused on reducing pet overpopulation through accessible, low-cost spay/neuter programs. We also assist low-income pet owners in keeping their companion animals by providing pet food and supplies when needed. In addition, we support the care and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife through our licensed specialist. Every dollar donated goes directly to helping animals in need, and we are dedicated to raising awareness about the vital services we provide to both people and animals in our community.
